We're expanding our site!

We’re thrilled to announce that we will be expanding our campsite, by adding an extra 50 pitches! 20 of these will be premium pitches with hot tubs, private showers and toilets.

In addition, we'll be adding five luxury lodges, each of these will have a private hot tub for your exclusive use. 

Our aim is to have both new pitches and lodges in place by July 2024. These will be available to book upon completion.

There will be earth moving work in the field next to the Caravan Park between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. 

We will try our best to keep distribution to a minimum. We’re very sorry for any inconvenience during this time. 

 An award winning campsite in the heart of Cardigan Bay 

Opened in March 2017, our site is open 12 months of the year so you can enjoy the stunning scenery and outstanding location whenever you want!

Located in the heart of Cardigan Bay on the West Wales coast, Bargoed Farm is between the picturesque seaside town of Aberaeron and New Quay. The access off the main road is excellent and suitable for all types of vehicles, while the site itself is tranquil and secluded, as well as being a haven for all sorts of wildlife. 

The level, tree lined tarmacked site has 50 fully serviced hard-standing pitches. Each pitch has 16 amp electric, its own water tap, grey water discharge and lawn area. For your added luxury, twenty of these pitches have their very own private hot tubs, for your exclusive use during your stay

A quiet footpath avoiding the main road leads from the site to the local village of Llwyncelyn, and a short walk from there takes you onto the beautiful Welsh Coastal Path. You don’t need a car to experience the beauty of the area - but a good pair of boots is essential! 

This year, for the third consecutive year our facilities were awarded ''Platinum'' in The Loo of the Year awards and our cleaner was awarded a 'Washroom Cleaner of the Year Award' for their outstanding services. The facilities are equipped with hair dryers, a disabled room, and free hot showers, as well as a washing machine and custom built dog wash.

We are on the main bus route and buses will pick up and drop off from the end of the drive, and there are many local taxi firms if your weary legs can't carry you home! 

We have an onsite farm shop and bistro called The Moody Cow. Open seven days a week serving a huge range of homemade and delicious produce all day.

As we are open 12 months of the year all our pitches are on hard standing, this ensures pitches don't become waterlogged and unusable at any time. We do not have a separate area for tents, nor do we have any grass pitches for tents. If you have a tent or awning you will need rock pegs (or heavy duty pegs) to go through the hardstanding, if you are worried about the base of the tent you are more than welcome to bring an extra/ heavy duty groundsheet.

Monday - Thursday: 1pm to 5pm
Friday - 1pm - 8pm
Saturday - 1pm - 5pm
Sunday - 1pm-4pm 

Check-in for caravans and camping on Hardstanding Pitches is as follows:
Monday - Thursday: 12pm to 5pm
Friday - 12pm - 8pm
Saturday - 12pm - 5pm
Sunday - 12pm-4pm 

Check out for all pitches is by 10.30am at the latest.

 A special occasion, or just a treat to yourselves, our serviced pitches with their own private hot tub give you a chance to add a touch of luxury to your stay.

Please note: Only the people who are booked onto hot tub pitches can use the hot tubs. You cannot share a hot tub with another pitch, but you can book two or more adjoining hot tub pitches.
 Take in the view and see how many different species of wildlife you can spot. Our lake and open green spaces are wildlife magnets. Regular visitors include red kites, buzzards, herons, coots, moorhens, teal, wigeon, mallards, owls, Canadian geese and swans - to name but a few! 
The site is level and tree lined, with a hardcore ring road and each pitch is a serviced hardstanding with lawn. 
We have full shower and toilet facilities onsite, and are thrilled to announce the completion of our new facility block, with dog wash and laundry facilities too!
We do ask that dogs are kept on the lead at all times.
The Moody Cow Farm Shop and Welsh Bistro is in the next door field to the caravan park, and is open seven days a week from 9am serving food all day, and is also dog friendly!

Our onsite farm shop is stocked with our own beef, local meat, produce, gifts and more, the bistro only uses the freshest local ingredients every day. We celebrate low food miles, high quality and great value! We are proud champions of local food, drink and crafts!

Fully serviced hardstanding pitch with your own private hot tub and bespoke enclosure. Services include electric, water and grey waste water on your pitch, plus a lawn area. All units (including tents) plus awnings must be pitched on the hardstanding only.

Please note:

  • For insurance purposes, hot tubs are solely and exclusively for the use of the people booked onto the hot tub pitch. There is strictly one unit per pitch. You can book two or more adjoining hot tub pitches, but you cannot share a hot tub pitch with a standard pitch

Children under four years of age are not allowed in the hot tubs

FIRE POLICY: Barbeques - are permitted, using charcoal or gas, provided they do not cause annoyance to other guests but must be kept well clear of the grass and placed on the hardstanding ONLY. They must be placed well away from any tents, awnings, units or cars. We do not permit firepits, barbeques on the grass or campfires.
